Sam’s path has been deeply informed by his global spiritual explorations, spending time in Ashrams, guiding meditation groups, and developing sound-based therapeutic experiences that honour both ancient wisdom and contemporary science.

His approach to sound healing is rooted in both creative intuition and structured research, exploring the intersection of mindfulness, psychoacoustics, and embodied listening.

Academically, Sam holds a Master of Education in Innovation and Change, alongside multiple postgraduate certificates in higher education and international community development. He has been a university lecturer for over two decades and brings this depth of pedagogical experience to his role at ASHA. Sam contributes to course development and teaches the Understanding Sound and Acoustics module within the practitioner training.

His trauma-informed approach and commitment to sound as a tool for presence, healing, and connection make him a valued teacher and guide within the ASHA community.
